Da Nang’s international visitor market expanded strongly through 2025 and into the latest available 2026 reporting. Lodging establishments served more than 7.6 million international visitors in 2025, while an estimated 4.181 million were recorded in the first five months of 2026. The figures below refer mainly to visitors served by lodging establishments, so they should not be treated as identical to airport passengers or every tourist arrival.

Annual and pre-2025 benchmarks
The strongest full-year figure in the supplied reporting is for 2025. Da Nang lodging establishments served more than 17.3 million visitors, a 15% increase from 2024. International visitors exceeded 7.6 million, up 25% year over year. The same Bản tin sinh hoạt chi bộ tháng 01 năm 2026 reported nearly VND60 trillion in combined lodging, food-service, and travel-agency tourism revenue, up 21% from 2024. That revenue measure covers more than visitor arrivals and is not a per-visitor calculation.
The 2024 reports provide useful partial-year benchmarks. During January–September 2024, lodging establishments served more than 8.7 million visitors, up 33.3% from the same period of 2023. International visitors accounted for about 3.1 million of that total, up 30.6%, while domestic visitors represented about 5.5 million, up 34.9%. These figures come from the Báo cáo tình hình kinh tế - xã hội 9 tháng đầu năm 2024 của UBND thành phố Đà Nẵng.
The first quarter of 2024 was also positive. The Doanh thu dịch vụ lưu trú, ăn uống và lữ hành tăng cao trong quý I/2024 recorded nearly 1.9 million lodging-served visitors from January–March, up 23.4% from the first quarter of 2023. International visitors numbered about 636,000, up 21.6%, and domestic visitors reached 1.249 million, up 24.3%.
One important distinction is between a target and a result. The same General Statistics Office report described 8.4 million total visitors as Da Nang’s 2024 target. It was a 2024 forecast, not a recorded arrival count, and should not be compared with realized totals as though it were measured traffic.
Monthly and cumulative results in 2025
The 2025 sequence shows both monthly momentum and changing seasonal levels. In April, lodging establishments served an estimated 995,600 visitors, up 3.7% from March and 16.3% from April 2024. International lodging-served visitors reached an estimated 447,900, up 2.4% from March and 41.1% from April 2024. These April estimates are from the Báo cáo tình hình kinh tế - xã hội tháng 4 năm 2025 của UBND thành phố Đà Nẵng.
For January–April 2025, the same report estimated 3.5 million total lodging-served visitors, up 18.6% year over year. International visitors made up an estimated 1.7 million, up 43.0%, while domestic visitors contributed an estimated 1.8 million, up 2.2%.
By January–June, Da Nang lodging establishments had served 8.626 million visitors. The Tăng trưởng 6 tháng đầu năm 2025 đạt 9,43% reported 3.741 million international lodging-served visitors, up 25.2%, and 4.885 million domestic visitors, up 10.2%.
July added more than 1.9 million lodging-served visitors, up more than 15% from July 2024. International visitors exceeded 600,000, up 11%, and domestic visitors exceeded 1.3 million, up more than 18%. Cumulative lodging-served visitors surpassed 10.7 million in January–July, more than 18% above the comparable period. These measures are reported in the Báo cáo tình hình kinh tế - xã hội tháng 7 năm 2025 của UBND thành phố Đà Nẵng.

|---|---|---|---|

| January–June | 8.626 million | 3.741 million | 4.885 million |

See the Báo cáo tình hình kinh tế - xã hội tháng 8 năm 2025 của UBND thành phố Đà Nẵng.
October illustrates a later-year monthly level. Da Nang recorded an estimated 1.31 million lodging-served visitors, down 2.1% from September but up 25.8% from October 2024. International visitors reached an estimated 614,000, up 28.3%, and domestic visitors an estimated 696,000, up 23.6%, according to the Báo cáo tình hình kinh tế - xã hội tháng 10 năm 2025 của UBND thành phố Đà Nẵng.
Source markets and visitor segments
South Korea was a particularly large international source market. Da Nang recorded more than 4 million international visitors in January–July 2025, including more than 1 million from South Korea, according to Đà Nẵng mở rộng hợp tác, ưu tiên đầu tư thị trường du lịch Hàn Quốc. A separate city report, Ký kết biên bản ghi nhớ tăng cường quan hệ hữu nghị, hợp tác Đà Nẵng - ChungCheong Nam, put South Korean visitors above 1.2 million in January–June and said they represented 25% of international lodging-served visitors in that period. The periods differ, so the two figures should not be combined.
Cruise and MICE activity add context to the broader international market. During January–September 2024, Da Nang received 27 cruise calls carrying 32,550 passengers. In all of 2023, it had 22 cruise calls carrying 18,100 passengers. The same 2024 report recorded 91 international MICE groups totaling 26,736 visitors. All MICE groups, including domestic and international groups, totaled 154 groups and 53,313 visitors in January–September 2024.
Not every specialized segment is international: domestic river-tour visitors exceeded 742,000 in January–September 2024, up 17.6% year over year. Keeping that category separate prevents it from being mistaken for international arrivals.
Air access and transport indicators
Air connectivity helps explain the scale of lodging-served arrivals, but flight passengers are a different measure. In September 2024, Da Nang had 20 air routes: 5 regular domestic routes and 15 regular international routes. During January–September 2024, the airport averaged 115 arriving flights per day, including 51 international flights per day. It received more than 31,400 arriving flights in that period, of which 14,100 were international. Arriving-flight passengers exceeded 5.12 million, up 2.2% from the same period of 2023. These figures are from the Báo cáo tình hình kinh tế - xã hội 9 tháng đầu năm 2024 của UBND thành phố Đà Nẵng.
South Korean air access was especially substantial in August 2025: 12 airlines operated 150 weekly flights linking Da Nang with major South Korean cities, as reported by Đà Nẵng mở rộng hợp tác, ưu tiên đầu tư thị trường du lịch Hàn Quốc.
Holiday-period surges
Holiday windows produce short, concentrated peaks. During the five-day April 30–May 1 holiday in 2025, Da Nang estimated more than 610,000 total tourist arrivals, more than 50% above the comparable 2024 period. The city recorded 654 arriving flights, about 12% above normal daily operations, or roughly 130 arrivals per day. The figures are from the April 2025 city report linked above.
For April 25–May 3, 2026, Da Nang estimated more than 1.46 million total tourist arrivals, up 35% from the comparable 2025 period. International visitors were estimated at more than 621,000, up 24%, and lodging-served visitors exceeded 724,000, up 31%. The period included an estimated 1,460 domestic and international arriving flights, up 11% year over year and averaging about 162 per day. The Đà Nẵng đón hơn 1,46 triệu lượt khách dịp lễ 30-4 – 01-5 also recorded about 1,500 cruise tourists arriving on Star Voyager on April 29, alongside more than 1,000 crew members.
Another 2026 holiday estimate covered August 29–September 2. Da Nang counted more than 850,000 total tourist arrivals, including more than 224,000 international visitors. Lodging-served visitors exceeded 275,000, up 36% year over year. These figures come from Thông tin báo chí từ ngày 01-9 đến 05-9-2026.
Latest available 2026 figures
The latest cumulative lodging measure supplied here covers January–May 2026. Da Nang lodging establishments served an estimated 7.740 million visitors, up 20.9% from the same period of 2025. International visitors reached an estimated 4.181 million, up 23.6%, while domestic visitors totaled an estimated 3.559 million, up 17.9%. The reported growth rates show international visitors expanding faster than domestic visitors during these five months.
These estimates are reported in 5 tháng đầu năm, tổng thu ngân sách nhà nước đạt hơn 34,3 nghìn tỷ đồng. Because the period ends in May, it is not a full-year 2026 total. Similarly, the holiday figures for April–May and September describe event windows rather than ordinary monthly averages. For planning or comparison, the clearest distinction is therefore between full-year 2025 results, cumulative 2025 and 2026 estimates, and short holiday-period counts.
